Covid19 response:

Here at Hope Counseling we understand mental health issues continue to be  vitally important especially in these trying times.  Due to COVID19, we have temporarilly altered our mode of therapy and are conducting sessions remotely and in office to accommodate clients' needs.  We will work with you to resolve any technical issues and are determined not to let difficulties stop us. We are still here for you- established clients will continue without interruption, and new clients are still welcome.

I work with patients suffering from illnesses such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, abuse, and stress, OCD or Schizophrenia. I treat children, young adults, adults and seniors. I am especially interested in young adults who are going through stress in high school and have been diagnosed with a mental illness. Please contact me @ Office 865-470-4110 .

Michael Van Camp

Service to our great nation can involve adventure, travel to foreign lands, making new and lifelong friends, and often memories to last a lifetime. Sometimes these memories can be a terrible life changing, reoccurring nightmare. Do you or a loved one find yourself, or know of someone isolating from others, experiencing nightmares and terrible flashbacks? Often the result is the inability to successfully reintegrate into civilian or military life, unemployment, divorce, alienation from friends and family, or even homelessness. Self-medicating with pills or alcohol are just more bad decisions that can make things worse for this person.

Please know that the end result can be one of recovery, support, and a brighter future. Change requires effective therapy with a trusted and trained therapist. My name is Mike Van Camp, and I am a retired veteran. I am a Certified Trauma therapist.  I am a licensed therapist trained in the resolution of PTSD in civilian and military applications. I am trained in EMDR, which is an evidence based proven therapy for PTSD. More than my training, it is my passion to assist those effected with PTSD, and my goal is to help these people return to be the people they were prior to answering the call to service. It would my honor to assist in this recovery; please give me a call. Let’s get started.

I am honored to see Military, Military Family members, First Responders and any other person effected by trauma or hard times or just facing difficult life decisions.  You will welcomed into our practice and treated with respect.  Give us a call we will get you on the schedule 865-470-4110.
